In concluding my MCP, I brought my past interests, skills and experiences together to prepare a professional report on the implications of sea level rise in San Francisco, as they relate to social vulnerability and equity. Through the report below along with an interactive web map, my research looks at how to quantify cumulative vulnerability, whether the adaptation strategies currently underway adequately address social vulnerability, and where there is room to increase attention to social equity in the future adaptation plans. I developed a comprehensive understanding of the local government climate adaptation policy in the Bay Area, and am prepared to apply my findings to adaptation planning and mitigation projects in SF and elsewhere.
